出生于2007年7月13日的亚马尔刚刚迎来自己17岁生日，属于未成年人。德国有着严格的劳动法和未成年人保护法，未成年人的工作时间不得超过20点，职业运动员可以放宽到23点。如果欧洲杯决赛踢到加时，并且亚马尔没有被换下，他很可能违反这一法律规定。
不过，相关法律专家透露，西班牙并不会因此遭受任何体育层面的威胁，只会面临3万欧元的罚款。而且这也只是理论上的威胁，当局迄今为止并未表态。
